Företagets huvudprodukt Glycosorb® ABO, används kliniskt i fem världs-delar för att underlätta blodgruppsinkompatibla transplantationer, framför allt vid njurtransplanta-tioner från närstående levande givare, men även vid transplantation av lever, hjärta, lunga och stamceller. Glycosorb® ABO möjliggör transplan-tationer oavsett blodgrupp hos givare respektive mottagare. Produkten används vid extrakorporeal blodbehandling, det vill säga en blodbehandling som sker utanför kroppen i likhet med dialys. Glycosorb® ABO reducerar selektivt och effektivt den del av patientens antikroppar som annars skulle leda till avstötning av det nya organet vid en transplantation. Sedan den första transplanta-tionen 2001, har mer än 7 000 transplantationer genomförts med Glycosorb® ABO och i många länder görs nu blodgruppsinkompatibla trans-plantationer rutinmässigt. Bolaget har försäljning i över 30 länder, där den största marknaden är Europa. Merparten av försäljningen sker direkt, men även distributörer används. |
