Kapsch TrafficCom ist ein internationaler Anbieter von anspruchsvollen Technologien, Lösungen und Dienstleistungen im Bereich intelligenter Verkehrssysteme (Intelligent Transportation Systems, ITS). Diese unterstützen und optimieren den Verkehr und nutzen dafür Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien. Dieses Segment umfasst die Errichtung sowie den technischen und kommerziellen Betrieb von Mautsystemen. In der Regel werden Projekte von öffentlichen Stellen oder privaten Konzessionären ausgeschrieben und vergeben. Mautsysteme können einzelne Fahrspuren oder Straßenabschnitte bis hin zu landesweiten Straßennetzen umfassen. Die Herstellung und Beschaffung von Komponenten, sowohl zur Erweiterung und Adaptierung der von Kapsch TrafficCom errichteten Systeme als auch für Dritte, ergänzen das Leistungsportfolio, Mautdienste für Geschäfts- und Privatkunden runden es ab.Verkehrsmanagement. Dieses Segment umfasst primär die Errichtung und den Betrieb von Systemen und Lösungen zur Steuerung des Verkehrs- und Mobilitätsverhaltens sowie das damit verbundene Komponentengeschäft. Der strategische Fokus liegt auf den Bereichen Verkehrsoptimierung, Entscheidungsintelligenz (Verkehrsanalyse, -simulation und -prognose) sowie Betrieb von Mobilitätsplattformen und -diensten. Eine Grundlage dafür ist die Nutzung der zunehmenden Datenmengen zur Analyse, Simulation und intelligenten Steuerung von Verkehrsströmen und Mobilitätsverhalten.
